How to Tell if you are Having a Boy or Girl

How to Tell if you are Having a Boy or Girl

Is it a boy or girl?

Pregnancy is a magical time and right from the time you get pregnant, the guessing game begins. Is it a boy? Is it a girl? The excitement grows as the months pass. This excitement is usually more when you get pregnant for the first time. Once you know the gender, you can prepare accordingly. You can decorate the nursery for one thing, and you can start thinking about names for the baby! There are two main ways of finding out the sex of the baby. One of them is an at-home way. Oh yeah, you can find out or at least predict whether you are having a boy or girl from home, too! Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here

Find out from home

You have test kits available in the market that you could use. In the test kit you will find a cup. Use that cup and collect your urine sample. Take this test early in the morning for more accurate results. Now take the test vessel and remove the seal from the top. Fill the syringe with your urine sample by pulling the plunger towards you. Once the syringe is full, insert its tip into the hole of the vessel. You will see this hole at the top of the test vessel from where you removed the seal. Release the urine into the test vessel by pushing the plunger into the syringe. Wrap your fingers tightly on the vessel, hold the thumb on top to form a C and then start rotating the test vessel. Move it in clockwise as well as counterclockwise direction so that the media and the urine gets mixed thoroughly. Do this for ten seconds. Now let the vessel rest for about ten minutes. After ten minutes, check the color change. Orange yellow indicates a girl and green brown indicates a boy! Taking this test in your second trimester is ideal.

At the doctor’s office

An abdominal ultrasound will tell you for sure whether it is a boy or a girl. Around the fourteenth week, you can go to the doctor for an ultrasound of the abdomen. Actually, you can find out the sex of the baby at any time during the second trimester. The fourteenth week is the earliest. Make sure you prepare yourself for the ultrasound. What you should do is, drink three glasses of water about an hour before the test. Wear loose clothes too. Drinking lots of water will make sure you have a full bladder. A full bladder will result in a better ultrasound picture of the baby. The technician will tell you how to lie down and expose your abdomen for the test. During this time, you should tell the doctor that you want to know the sex of the baby. Once the ultrasound is conducted, the doctor will let you know whether you are having a boy or a girl.

Waiting

While it is fun knowing the sex of the baby, it is also fun to wait and find out once he/she is born. Finding out the sex is completely up to your preferences. I personally think that waiting until the euphoria of birth to find out is one of life’s greatest surprises. If we’d have been meant to know ahead of time, we would have been made with a window to the womb! Try to wait to find out if you can. There’s nothing like it!
