Pills to Get Pregnant

Pills to Get Pregnant

When it comes to fertility treatments you should know all of your options. And if you are anything like my sister, you are scared of needles, hate drinking liquid medicines, and refuse to try the “herbal” remedies that our parents would have raved about as we were younger. She will not do regular shots; it is just not her cup of tea. And just to be quite frank about things, she chokes when it comes to taking liquid medicines; if she can taste it as soon as it goes in her mouth, it will not make it down her throat. Infertility treatment options

We both prefer good old fashioned pills. Plain and simple, easy to swallow and much easier to make logic of taking. Now that I have had my spill, let us move on to the topic at hand. What pills are available to you to help treat your infertility? What do they do exactly? How do we come across these pills and what (if any) are the side effects?

Clomid

Clomid is the most common infertility medication on the market today. This is more than likely true because of how effective it is with stimulating ovulation. About 80% of women who take Clomid have a regular ovulation phase in their menstrual cycle. With the balance of these hormones and ovulation being regular, the odds of fertilization of your eggs are raised greatly. This in turn helps to create more of the “good” viable eggs that are better for fertilization. But with all good things comes responsibility, in this case, the knowledge of what could happen as side effects. Multiples (twins or more), hot flashes, severe bloating or abdominal discomfort, rapid weight gain, mood swings, nausea, migraines, or abnormal menstrual bleeding.

Gonadotropin

Gonadotropin is another medication that can be taken for fertility. However, this drug is usually prescribed if clomid did not work for you, or if you have polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). This particular medication can cause the obvious possible side effects of stomach issues, headaches; etc. However, this medication can also cause: multiple births and even ovarian cancer. Multiple births can be a double or triple blessing, but ovarian cancer would be quite the curse.

Parlodel

Parlodel is used when you have a problem with your pituitary gland itself. Usually the “problem” is a tumor that is there and causes the progesterone levels to drop. This drug helps treat that and keep the progesterone level up in order to keep hormonally balanced and become pregnant easily. The side effects of this medication are a little different than what you would normally expect. Things to watch for are; Blurry Vision, constant runny nose, severe chest pain, back pain, unusual swelling, low blood sugar, headaches, upset stomach or bloody stools.

Fertibella Conceiveeasy

If you’re not into these awful side effects, then you might want to give Fertibella a whirl. It’s an herbal supplement, an all-in-one tablet that combines all the best vitamins, minerals and herbs to boost your fertility. This all-natural drug is great being all-in-one, so that you don’t have to add a whole host of different vitamins to take, a pinch of this, a pinch of that. Easy and simple. You start with the blue Month 1 bottle, move onto the pink Month 2 bottle, green Month 3 bottle and so on. Each of the 12 monthly blends is slightly differently formulated, to follow you on your whole journey… to parenthood! It helps balance your hormones, lengthen your luteal phase, increase cervical mucus, just to name a few of the most common issues experienced by women. And what’s the best part? No side effects.

While these are just a few of the pills available at the recommendation of your doctor, there are many more. This discussion should be had between you and your doctor once it has been determined that you do indeed have infertility problems and once it has been determined what has caused your infertility issues.
